Giving Back – Axiom’s Annual Volunteer Day

The Axiom team came together for our annual volunteer day as we headed down to The Market by Dove House Hospice to help out their incredible retail team for the day.

Dove House Hospice is a pillar in the local community and has been caring for people in Hull and the local area for 40 years. As they told us, the money from sales at the retail stores helps fund the amazing work the care teams carry out.

As volunteers at the retail shop and distribution centre, we saw firsthand everything that happens when you simply ‘make a donation’ at your local charity shop. It was eye-opening to see everything that the team had to do, with most of them doing it on a volunteer basis.

Axiom’s Sophie Dryden said, ‘We really enjoyed being part of their community for the day and supporting their amazing work. We believe there is so much importance in using your company volunteer days as they give you a great opportunity to give back to the wider community.’
